c.1945 Electric Hey Hey Hula Duo


Here's a cool 5x7 original photo, probably c.1945-50. Check out the gorgeous Epiphone archtop (with DeArmond on-a-pole pickup) and that fantastic side-loaded Oahu amp. Why more amp manufacturers don't put stripes on their gear is beyond me...

If anyone knows who these lei-bedecked fellows are, let me know. And for those interested in DeArmonds, check out this site. I love that they're both going through the same amp!

Call me crazy, but the slide player looks like the same guy in your previous post picture (he's got "Fred" on his guitar there.)

That's not crazy at all because he is. I got a bundle of music ephemera from the same area with the same players rotating in and out of different bands... :)
