c.1949 Ken-Rad 12AU7 Tube

This is a nice old, extremely early (I believe these were the first 12AU7s made) preamp tube. I don't know how many hours it has on it in total, but I've been using it for the past few weeks a half an hour at a time here and there as a preamp in one of my tube amps and it sounds glorious and functions beautifully.

This guy would sound great in a guitar's preamp channel as a smooth, mellow, low-gain pre (think: blues/jazz/clean country uses) and would also function beautifully in hi-fi equipment.

Made in the US, too. This came out of an old projector amplifier that didn't look like it was used much.
