Workshop: Ripped Uke Bridge


Oh, my! The glue failed on this uke bridge and took part of the top with it!


Fortunately I always keep 1/16" veneer mahogany hand...


...and you can cut the dang stuff with scissors to make a bridge plate that also serves as a patch. This will get sanded a bit and shaped more cleanly to resemble something like the bridge plates that lived under Martin and Weymann (and some Gibson) uke tops...


...and then it'll get glued-up so I can reshape and reglue that original bridge tomorrow.
