Workshop: Adjustable Portuguese Guitar Bridge

This nice old Portuguese guitar came back to me for some work a bit ago and I finally took it out of the case this week and spruced it up. It's now boxed up for a return home.

At the same time I replaced the original rosewood bridge (non-adjustable) with this rosewood adjustable one. I figured I'd share a pic because it's fun to see something with such a steep radius! The problem with non-adjustable bridges is that when the wood shrinks (Fall-Winter) on this side of the States, you need to shim them up and that both saps tone and is kind of a drag. I much prefer adjustable units like this one (which adjusts with two tiny hex nuts).
