Hey Jake! No mention that this is a seven string guitar- along with the T34 tank an essential ingredient in a happy and harmonious life in the Soviet Union. I imagine it was made in the Magnitogorsk Tractor and Balalaika Factory No 2 but I reckon it may have been the 1950s. All joking aside, I think many of the guitars were made in Leningrad now back in its old pre-WW1 guise as St Petersburg. I once new an old Latvian fellow that had been in Petrograd (as it was then called) in October 1917 and witnessed the Bolshevik Revolution. He said that Lenin told the workers everything they wanted to hear and promised them so much! Politicians have learned plenty from Lenin!
