Off Topic: The Talking Cure

I've had two days' worth of non-stop instrument customers here from opening through closing -- mostly chatting, hanging out, and checking-up and ironing-out problems on various gear -- and despite the fact that I don't get much true repair or "office" work done on days like these, I have to say that I appreciate sharing the "talking cure" with all of you who stop by.

It's rare, I think, to have so many interesting people with interesting ideas and persuasions unite and visit in one place with our own peculiar shared vocabulary and sonic stories. I'm thankful for it -- and it's a welcome change from the usual January storekeeping in Vermont which tends to be cold, dark, and lonely.

Now off to bed for the second time!
