1981 Daion Mark X-B Power Bass

This is another of my friend's Japanese-made (high quality) Daion basses -- and unlike the XX-B in the last post, this one is fretless and has a 3-piece neck-through build rather than a 9-piece one. It's overall a simpler beast.

It originally came with a half-fretted neck, but my buddy had a repairman in the past remove the rest of the frets and make it completely fretless. I say: very cool!

Compared to that XX-B version of the "Power Bass," this single-X has a more "slab" body with contouring only at the tummy-cut area.
