Quick Shop Question

Since switching to an automatically-adjusted shop, people have either 1) liked it or 2) been frustrated by it. I don't want to remove it as it greatly simplifies keeping my inventory in check over here (and it's one of the few online cart systems that plugs-in nicely to existing sites), so I'm seeking some feedback.

I'm finding that most folks' frustration is due to the categories choices meaning you have to click-down a menu to see what's there. Would you all prefer just a one-page list of items? I rarely have more than 50 instruments/items in stock, so it's not like it's a huge amount of stuff to be on one page.

Let me know, please. I'm thinking of going this route. Also -- if you have anything else to comment on, definitely do tell.

All on one page is good, but I'd be ok with the current setup with one key change: it's not clear to me what the "Featured Products" means, i.e. why those particular things are featured. As someone who keeps fairly regular tabs on your inventory (and I doubt I'm alone in that), it would be much handier to replace it with a "Recent Additions" category. That way we'd see all the new stuff right away, and could then navigate to the other stuff.

I can't edit-out or figure-out how to edit-out the term Featured Products, which is why it's so confusing. Sorry about that. :)

Lol it's all good. I do find that I'm frustrated more and more by technology's increasing habit of automatically doing for you what it thinks you want to do, when it's rarely what I want to do, and means having to undo that before I can go ahead and do what I wanted to do in the first place!

Jake- As a perennial customer and website browser of yours, I have never seen you make a bad choice regarding how you display for-sale items and communicate interesting information and expertise on the many things you contribute to your niche in the music world. Do what you need to do to make your good work easy for you, and the benefits will continue to flow to your customers/followers. Joel C. Tate

Jake,
Whatever is easier for you. But, a one page listing might be a good way to go. We all appreciate ‘ the Country Guitar Doctor’.

I enjoy everything about the site, no matter the format, so I agree with the sentiment of making things easiest for you. I tend to click on everything anyway lol.

I love your site. I do like everything all on one page because I look at the instruments on the blog and then go to the shop page to see if a particular instrument is for sale. I do tend to click on everything too!
