Workshop: Fixing Danelectro Fretboard End
Some wildman had taken the end off of this Danelectro Longhorn's fretboard so that when he picked, he wasn't picking against the board -- there was pickguard material over this cut-down end when this came in.
Brazilian Rosewood (the stuff the original board is made out of) is hard to get a hold of these days, but Madagascar Rosewood is not as hard to find.
Here's some headstock veneer that, after finagling it a bit, matches well-enough with the streaks in the grain that I can replace the end with it before reslotting and refretting the board.
Since this photo I've roughly shaped it and glued it in place for final fit and repair tomorrow.
