2001 Takamine ENV460SC Acoustic/Electric 000-Size Guitar

This Japanese-made, cutaway, OM-42-style guitar reminds me of Martin Schoenberg 14-fretters of the '90s. It's solid spruce over solid rosewood, features a good amount of pearl bling, plays fast like a champ, and has a nice-sounding undersaddle pickup system. While the body shape is a little curvier and in the mini-jumbo territory, it reminds me a lot of a Martin OM sound -- bright and punchy, with a velvety "curl" to the highs and lows. It's got a bit more sparkle and mids, though, which gives it more of a contemporary/somewhat Taylor-like vibe that works well for chord-strummers or crosspickers. There's a reason nicer-grade Takamines show-up all over the place on stage.

It arrived here basically good-to-go and ready for consignment, though I did level and dress the frets and give it a good setup. The frets were worn only very slightly but I like things to be perfect. It has a clean bill of health, the pickup works as it should, and it even has its original hard case.

Setup notes: action is spot-on and fast, with 3/32" EA and 1/16" DGBE string height at the 12th fret, a truss rod that works as it should, and a straight neck. Strings are 54w-12 in gauge.
