1940s Vega Commander 1x10" Tube Amp

This old Vega amp dates around '48 per its owner's (Mr. Mark) research. It would've originally been sold alongside the Vega Commander lap steels (here's an 8-string, here's a 6-string). This one is a little "more plus" because it also has a tremolo circuit in addition to the usual ones.

It's got a juicy sound -- lush in the lower-mids and mids and with a snappy-but-creamy high-end. It takes a bit of volume to break it up but it's still a lower-watt box. The two inputs are interesting as the "instrument" input is a little mellower and lower-gain while the "mic" input has extra high-end and tons of gain. This gets real fzzzzshhhhhwrrrrrr when you kick that channel up. Its tremolo circuit also sounds lovely, though its most useful sounds seem to be on faster warbled speeds.

The finish is all-original but the Vega decal that would've been on the birdseye-maple front panel is missing. Sorry about no video clip -- I just wanted to share, though -- it's a beaut.
