2010s Epiphone Les Paul Acoustic/Electric Ukulele (Upgraded)

These Les Paul-shaped acoustic/electric ukes can be found all over the place, though I imagine this is one of the few that's been "put right" since it left the factory. I gave it a light level/dress of the frets (they're almost always inconsistent on budget ukes) and replaced the unbalanced/wonky undersaddle pickup with a K&K single-dot pickup. The result is a plugged-in voice that sounds natural. Someone before me had already replaced the nut and saddle with bone, too.

These have an interesting construction as the sides/back are cut from solid mahogany slabs which are routed into the shape it needs to be (much like Danelectro guitar sides made from pine or poplar). The top is ply flamed maple. The neck is bolt-on and thus easily adjustable for back-angle.

Repairs included: fret level dress, setup, new K&K pickup
