1968 Guild F-30 000-Size Flattop Guitar

Hoboken Guilds! Yes, they're excellent guitars. This one was in via a customer for repair -- a neck reset, fret level/dress, and a bit of mucking at the bridge (conversion of through-cut to drop-in saddle and a new saddle). Now that it's done-up, it plays spot-on and has plenty of vigor.

These make good fingerpickers but also great all-around flatpickers. At this point they had the shorter scale length and so really do handle a lot like a Martin 000-18 except that their voice is a bit simpler and woodier. They're good country-blues boxes or folksy troubadour machines. The necks are also faster than Martins from the same time and the builds are less-fussy and more "ready to romp."

I'm liking the cherry-ish sunburst and big tortoise pickguard...
