2011 Tom Anderson Guitarworks Short Scale Classic T Electric Guitar

What we've got here is a lightly-used, boutique-form Telecaster with a Gibson-style 24 3/4" short scale length. Anderson Guitarworks (AKA Tom Anderson) is a well-known firm and a model like this sells around $3400 new. The current owner bought it used in January 2020 but has essentially all but moved over to bass guitar since -- which is why it's here.

It's a very adaptable instrument, being equipped with a pair of humbuckers that are very-much "dual coil" variants on Telecaster-style pickups. It has a 5-way switch that allows easy switching between tones, too, with various single-coil/humbucker options on each pickup -- #1 is neck-humbucker, #2 is neck-single, #3 is neck+bridge humbucker or with push/pull tone knob 'up' neck+bridge single, #4 is bridge-single, #5 is bridge-humbucker. Well -- it's not exactly in single-coil mode when switched into those positions, but what Anderson calls "kicked-back" -- which means one coil is tapped way low I'd imagine, to give it a single-coil voicing.

There are also a lot of "thought" elements that make it effortless to play, too -- a contoured heel shape and "grips" around the neck at the joint, good bevels to the body, and what feels like it must be a compound-radius neck that allows for really low action height without buzzing. So, yes -- improvements!

For a Tele-style, it's also not too hefty at 7 lbs, 4 oz overall. Everything works as it should and I gave it a fresh setup and new set of 46w-10 strings when going-over it. I'd adjusted it last year, too, and am happy to report it's been stable since then. I only needed to tweak it because I went up a gauge from 9s to 10s when restringing.

Repairs included: mild setup, restring, cleaning.

Condition notes: it's almost new in looks except for a cluster of minor small dings on the top and side-edge near it, which I've photographed in glare so you can see them. I didn't notice them at all until I started shooting photos, to be honest. They're not that obvious. There's one or two other tiny ding/scratches in other spots, too -- one in the middle of the back and one near the pickguard -- but overall the guitar is pretty clean.

It comes with: its original hard case and original and used sales materials.
