Local Flavor: Odds & Gnomes

We were down in Connecticut over the weekend for a memorial and I was shutterbugging on the phone a bit. Above is a huge, backlit, tiger swallowtail on a butterfly bush, of course.

My inlaws' pack of gnomes are still thick as thieves, it seems. I totally missed the faded one on the left side when I was wandering by these guys. Stealth gnome!

Neat wasp, here...

Um -- they're in the cabinets, too?

Big & Lil Sis on a walk... too much cute...

I like this mailbox despite myself.

My mom's gnome watches-over...

...the fishpond.

My uncle Dexter Lazenby made this stone sculpture for my mom some time back. The moss has grown lovely on it.

Unfortunately, the moss has grown lovely on her bench, too...
