Yard Sale: Amp, Pedals, Etc.

Mr. Rocky brought over some more items from his cache of interesting gear for sale on consignment. Here are the more-interesting ones, though he does have a few other items here including various simple footswitches. Just get in touch if you want any of these -- they'll be in the shop for sale, otherwise.

First-up is a recent Vox MV50 Clean amp. I love these little guys and used one direct-in (via an emulated speaker-out) for a few years for live shows. These have a "nutube" preamp with a solid state power section and, when put through a decent speaker, really do sound fantastic. It's got a great, basic, late-'50s, early-'60s, Fender-style clean sound. It can be pushed into breakup and dirt, for sure, but it's definitely not as pronounced as it would be with the other versions of the amp.

As always with most DI, the fuzzier/dirtier sounds are not as nice direct-in but sound good through a speaker.

$150 shipped (these are $220 new right now)

Next-up is a TC Helicon VoiceLive Acoustic Play preamp/effects box intended for acoustic guitar and vocals. It works and, while the housing shows wear and has velcro on it, it's good to go. It has its power supply, too.

$185 shipped (these are $280 new)

Above is the Empress Effects Buffer+ pedal -- which has a boost switch as well. This one's good to go and has its original box.

$95 shipped (these are $150 new)

Yes, there's also a well-used, more-recent Ibanez Bottom Booster, too.

$65 shipped (these are $85 new)
