Local Flavor: Bleeding Colors, Crisp Mornings
The colors in the foliage have essentially ended but we still have yellows and oranges and iron-brushed oranges here and there. The above picture was shot on the way back from Stockbridge while crossing the White River around 9 in the morning.
This one, though, was shot around 5:30 the other night -- I saw the color in the sky and hoofed it down the road at closing time to try to grab a picture where the two branches of the river meet a little north of the shop.
I keep getting distracted when opening-up by the colors of the "parking lot trees" looking back up our "mountain" behind the shop parking lot.
Here's the same just a hair earlier. I love it when you get that orange-yellow-green forest fade but it only lasts perfectly for about a day.
