2018 Ibanez ASV73 Semihollow Electric Guitar

Aside from pickwear on the pickguard, this Ibanez is super-clean. It's also pretty new, so that's to be expected. I also like the handling of this guitar a lot, too. It's lightweight, fast, and comfortable. Soundwise, it's in the vein of other ES-335-style clones, too -- but the pickups are a little hotter than vintage ones so it's overall a little more warm/mellow and less bright/clean.

It's got a satin, cherry-sunburst finish with fancy binding and board trimmings. The hardware is all "antiqued" -- by which I mean it's sort-of gunmetal-grey in color rather than chrome or nickel. To me this doesn't look old but it does give it a more-relaxed look.

Construction is clean and precise and there's really nothing to complain about -- it's a well-built, functional, comfortable instrument. I'd already set it up in recent memory so all I had to do was tweak the truss rod a hair when it arrived back here via its owner for consignment. He's just weeding the guitar-patch a bit -- a habit I'm (unfortunately) familiar with all too often. Cars don't fix themselves and all that!

Repairs included: a setup.

Condition notes: it's essentially "shop worn" as the instrument itself is quite clean but the pickguard shows tons of pickwear. There's only the mildest usewear in evidence on the body.

It comes with: a good, Ibanez-branded, hard case.
