1998 Collings Baby 2H Parlor Guitar

The Collings Baby model is something like a Martin Size 5 terz (extra-short-scale) guitar but if it were built around the shrunken frame of a 14-fret 0 model instead of a shrunken 12-fret 0. In this case, it's like a shrunken 14-fret 0-28 -- complete with herringbone trim, Indian rosewood back and sides, and scalloped bracing. Does it sound good? Yes, of course it sounds good. It's kind-of sultry, mellow, warm, and chocolate-sounding... velvet-sounding. It's a Collings, for sure.

This one's owned by a local customer and she was concerned with the (previously-repaired) top cracks. I cleated them where they hadn't been cleated and re-sealed them and then also gave it a fret level/dress and good setup. It played well when it arrived but now it's just that extra-bit lush.

A very desirable guitar. The tone is amazing. Additionally its a short scale. Would like to find a Collings Baby 2H with at least 10 years on it. Thanks!
