2000s Burswood Strat-A-Like Electric Guitar
My local friend Frank brought in some nice gear and some yard sale finds. This instrument is roughly the same quality level as a Squier Bullet Strat from the '90s but has a skewed, swept body shape to keep it slightly more interesting. It also has a weird, battery-powered recording interface slot in the side which apparently allows you to record passages to an SD card. No -- I didn't bother to test it. No -- I don't think it's a good idea. But, if you were so inclined, it's there.
So -- yes, treat it like a Strat knockoff with the typical, jangle-bangle, bright ceramic pickup sound. After much cleaning, some tweaking, and a good setup, it's ready to go. I did block the whammy so it functions as a hardtail instrument, though. I tend to not trust cheap Strat-clone whammies, anyway.
Repairs included: cleaning, restring, glorified setup.
