2012 Fender (Mexico) Stratocaster Electric Guitar

Here's a well-kept Strat! This one is a little outrageous, too, in that it has a very flamed-maple neck mated to a great-looking sunburst body with tortoise pickguard. It's a bit of a "picker's choice" sort-of mix, eh? It also sounds good and handles nicely, too. The neck profile reminds me of '80s Strats -- with a slightly-less-radiused fretboard and a slightly-fatter profile on the rear. It's got a "good grip."

This only needed minor goings-over and now it's playing spot-on and is ready to go. I'm a little puzzled why the owner is selling -- it's pretty and we all need a Strat-knife in the collection, right? -- but his loss, for sure! I've set it up so the whammy is not entirely free-floating and is adjusted mostly for down-bends, but I can adjust it to taste if a different feel is desired.

The body looks like alder to me and it has a '50s-style, one-piece, skunk-stripe neck cut.

Repairs included: a fret level/dress, cleaning, and setup.
