2001 Epiphone Dot Semihollow Electric Guitar

This is a local consignor's Epi Dot, made in Korea, from 2001. Its neck shape is a late-'50s Gibson profile while its body and tone correspond roughly to '70s and '80s ES-335s, though the pickups are a bit hotter and so the neck position is a lot fatter-sounding than vintage pickups.

It's owned by a roots reggae performer, hence a David Hinds (Steel Pulse) signature on the upper bout (now fading) and the Marley sticker on the lower bout. Both can be removed for the next owner if desired, but they're neat so I left them for the moment. This has a thick, standard-issue Asian-import poly finish, so it would clean-up nicely.

This guitar was definitely played and also gigged a lot. It was pretty grimy around the hardware and pickguard when I took it in, but post-cleaning it looks respectable though it does show minor wear here and there. The frets are in good order, however, and it really just needed a glorified setup and tweaking to get it playing its best. It's ready to go, now.

Repairs included: setup work, cleaning.

Condition notes: well, it's evident, huh? There's a signature on the upper bout and a sticker on the lower bout. There's medium wear and tear (handling-wear) throughout the body in the forms of minor scritchy-scratches here and there, minor plating-wear on the hardware, stuff like that.

It comes with: a nice molded hard case.
