1960s Del Vecchio Electrified Resonator Cavaquinho

How good is this? It's an electrified Del Vecchio resonator cavaquinho, made in Brazil, with a biscuit-style, lightweight aluminum cone, ply Brazilian rosewood body, and blade-style single coil pickup fit at the neck position. It sounds outrageous both plugged-in and acoustic.

The owner keeps it in GDAE (mandolin) tuning but I'm assuming it would sound killer in the traditional DGBD/DGBE tunings as well. It was in for a level/dress of the frets, fiddling with the electronics and a setup. It's now playing spot-on and breezy. It was refinished to a modern satin poly recently and it's interesting to see the rosewood body in the color it actually is. Usually the finish on the Del Vecchio (and, for that matter, Giannini) instruments yellows so much it lightens the color of the rosewoods from a rich red-brown to a milk-in-coffee color that's equally exciting but different.
