1960s Yamaha FG-150 "Red Label" 000-Size Guitar

This is a customer's FG-150 that was in for the usual stuff -- a neck reset, fret level/dress, bridge reglue, and setup. Otherwise -- and even though the finish is a bit mucked here and there throughout -- it arrived in great shape.

Unlike some of the later '70s Yamahas with their bigger C-necks, this guy has a Martin-ish, soft-V neck profile that's very comfortable. It also sounds like a million bucks despite it's all-ply build.

Someday I'll have to snag one for myself. There's very little upkeep to these once you dial them in and they just keep going and going...

If you'd like to hear what these sound like, here's the last one that was in the shop (click for link).
