2000s Johnson JM-994-S Squareneck Tricone Resonator Guitar

This guy is a 2000s, Chinese-made Johnson (rather than the Czech -- as I recall -- version of a few years before this) tricone resonator guitar with a squareneck. It's disgustingly loud, proud, and full of vigor and sustain. I'm guessing that the cones are still the "Continental" ones from Eastern Europe as it sounds a lot more oomphy than later ones I've played. The tone is a little drier and has more emphasis on lower-mids than '30s National cones, but it still does "the Hawaiian thing" beautifully.

Aside from mild tarnish to the finish here and there and a few small wear spots on the corners of the neck, it's in great shape. It only needed a minor setup to get it sounding and playing its best.

Repairs included: cone seating, restring, setup.

Condition notes: it's all-original and in good order. There are minor scuffs/wear marks to the edges of the neck here and there and while the body overall is fairly clean, it does show a few tarnish spots here and there as well. It does not have any sizable dings or nicks -- just a few tiny ones on the edges -- normal handling-wear.

It comes with: a good hard case!
