1870s German-made Parlor Guitar

This is a neat old German-made guitar (most-likely) that I worked on recently. It's roughly 1870s in era but may be a few years older or younger. It was in rough shape when it arrived but almost on the way to playing as regards neck angle and string height.

It has a spruce top over maple back and sides. The maple has been streaked with paint to look a bit like rosewood, however. The bridge, fretboard, and neck appear to be maple as well and it has a variety of old repairs.

My own repairs included fret seating and a level/dress job, side dots install, adjustments to the nut and setup, minor touch-up and recut of the bridge, some replacement (period) bridge pins scrounged from my parts-bins, and a whole variety of crack repairs.

The owner is a lefty and so I set it up that way for him, though it would easily swap to righty with a set of new strings.
