1910s Francesco Viotoni 3/4 Violin

This is a solidly-built, great-sounding instrument for its 3/4 size. I imagine it's German-built and right around 1910-1920 or so. Some of these are seen at great cost around the net but I think this more of a mid-grade factory instrument. It certainly sounds and handles a lot better than "normal" for an import fiddle from the time, though, and has nice ebony fittings in the board and pegs.

It's also relatively clean for its age. Post-work setup is somewhere between "fiddle height" strings and "classical height" but leaning more towards fast/easy fiddling-style.

Repairs included: a restring, cleaning, and setup.

The nut is also a replacement and bone instead of ebony. The back of the neck has some "faux flame" paint/finish work on it.
