2000s Ovation Celebrity CK-047 Koa Cutaway Guitar

This guitar was just in the shop for repairs. My guy Ancel did a headstock repair, cleaning, and glorified setup to get it playing spot-on for its owner.

It's a Korean-made Ovation with a koa-veneered top, shallower bowl, and OP-20 preamp with undersaddle pickup. The pickup/saddle design makes it a little awkward to quickly adjust action as the saddle has a molded foot that needs to remain unblemished, but Ancel put up with it and did a great job getting it to play spot-on.

For a newer Ovation, I think it's got a little bit of class going on -- it has a thinner-ring rosette, nice-looking koa on the top and headstock, and '70s-style fancier Ovation inlays (diamonds and dots) in the fretboard.
