2005 Gretsch G6128T-EE Elliot Easton Duo Jet Electric Guitar

This beaut is basically a new guitar. It's super-clean, all-original, and has its original case to boot. It's a Japanese-made Gretsch, so quality is top-notch and fit, finish, and handling are all excellent. As an Elliot Easton artist model, it has the looks of a fancy, late-'50s Duo Jet (gold hardware, Cadillac Green finish, and a Bigsby) but with some upgrades and refinements.

Said upgrades include a tone switch (fitted with useful capacitors for tone "roll off" rather than mud-switch-style caps) relocated to the top of the upper bout (with the selector switch below it), master volume on the upper bout with a treble-bleed circuit to keep tone clean as volume is rolled-off, an ebony fretboard, Sperzel locking tuners, and a Gibson-style, hard-mounted ABR-style adjustable bridge. All these little additions make the instrument far more practical and easier to handle in a live environment.

Its sound is punchy and forward but with that Gretsch-like clarity and balance when played clean.

Repairs included: a quick setup.
