2016 Music Man Valentine Electric Guitar

This slick-looking guitar handles like a champ. I love these asymmetric, Music Man necks -- they're much like vintage Fender necks but with a twist that makes them immediately "fuller-feeling" while still being quick and agile.

Its body is on the thinner side and the overall "heft" reminds me of something like a double-cut Les Paul Junior but with some Fender leanings. Its tone is brighter and cleaner, of course, than a Gibson-style guitar. The bridge pickup sounds a little bit like a Jazzmaster or DeArmond pickup (almost snappy and surfy or country-sounding) while the neck pickup has a clean, relaxed bucker sound.

The finish is "trans black" and while it's indeed very dark brown, it's not exactly a black color. It looks like the darkest of maple syrups you can buy up here in Vermont. The neck is also flamed, roasted maple and looks great.

Repairs included: a quick setup.

It comes with: a nice original hard case.
