2023 Partscaster Orange Strat-Style (w/Fralin Pickups) Electric Guitar
Update 2023: a local buyer wanted us to swap-out the pickguard but then didn't buy the guitar. Whaaaat? Who knows why? It's a nice plank. Still, it looks even nicer with the new crazy tortoise guard. So we win! It's been here since then but I delisted it until I could get some new pics. Now back to the original description...
A local customer had us whip this up for him from various parts right before he decided Strats are not his thing. His loss!
It's got an Allparts Strat neck (maple/rosewood) with a retro-feeling neck profile but a 12" board radius. The body is a 1 5/8" depth Squier Vintage Mod body in a metallic orange finish. It's more than likely basswood under the finish. It has a set of Fralin vintage-wound single-coil Strat pickups, wiring harness with 500k pots and Orange Drop cap plus Swithcraft jack, relic'd Kluson-style tuners, a modern 2-point Gotoh/Wilkinson whammy (with lock-down saddles), and... vibe!
It plays like a champ, is on the lighter side, feels modern and handles nicely, but sounds vintage and classy. Fralins really do sound gorgeous, you know...!
Repairs included: a fret level/dress, putting-together of all the parts, bridge install/fitting, tuners install, wiring and fitting of the harness/etc., and other associated work and setup...
