1950s Strad-O-Lin Archtop A-Style Mandolin
I've worked on so many Strad-O-Lins over the years that they all sort-of blend together into a mush of loveliness. I think they're fantastic instruments at the prices they command and I often find them tastier and more fun to play than same-period Gibson A-50s or the like. They've got a poppy, woody punch to them that's just so good.
This one was in for customer repair -- it got a slight mod/compensation to the adjustable bridge and my guy Ancel leveled and dressed the frets and gave it a restring and setup. It's spot-on and playing happily, now and t's also remarkably clean for its age!
Repairs included: a fret level/dress, restring, compensation added to bridge, and setup.

Condition notes: it's in great shape with just a few mild scratches and scuffs here and there in the finish. It's completely original, too. There's one tiny bit of separation on the shoulder of the body where the top meets the side at the bass side of the fretboard extension. It's not loose but the top has simply shrunk a little compared to the sides and neckblock as it's aged.
It comes with: sorry, no case.
