1975 Guild D-25 Dreadnought Guitar

This D-25 is definitely an old beater. Its owner picked it up in a sad state and had us fix it up for him. It wound-up getting a neck reset, fret level/dress, new saddle, hairline crack repairs, and other general work -- the usual! Post-repairs it's got a punchy, midsy, aggressive sound, though, and plays spot-on. It's not as "sweet scooped" as a D-18 but it has much of that tonality.

There's a few gross old repairs in evidence (I love the giant glob of glue used to reaffix the pickguard) and lots of playwear, but it sure does give it a friendly, welcoming look.
