2014 Taylor 814CE Jumbo Cutaway Acoustic/Electric Guitar

This beaut of a Taylor was a recent trade-in. It's almost new -- being very clean with only the lightest playwear in evidence. It has a big, robust, velvety, almost Martin-like tone -- think 000-28 or the like -- that sounds quite "classic" in its voice. It's got a ton of volume and, of course, has that super-fast, quick-handling, Taylor feel. Setups (including neck angle adjustments) are a breeze on these guys and they're easy to keep on-spec as the guitars age and change with weather and whatnot.

It also has the "back of saddle" Taylor pickup installed that sounds remarkably true to the guitar itself and, of course, has an onboard preamp built into the side of the shoulder.

As you'd expect for a fancier modern Taylor, build quality is spot-on, ridiculously tight, and clean. Even though I'm a vintage instrument fanboy, I appreciate the effort made by the company to build easy-to-live-with, functional, great-sounding boxes that stand-up to extended stage use easy-peasy and keep on ticking.

Repairs included: a quick setup, restirng, and neck adjustments.
