2020s Phil Jones Bass Suitcase Compact BG-400 300w Bass Amp

My friend Greg is doing a huge downsizing and this as-new, very recent BG-400 is up on the block.

These are excellent amps and, while being a little weighty for its dimensions -- how could it not be with so much crammed into it? -- they're a good value when stacked against other bass amps of similar size and heft. You can play a proper show with one of these that you would normally take an amp two or three times the size to instead.

It's got a modern, punchy, flat EQ with all of your dials "set to noon." There's an integral limiter (to help with compression), two channels/inputs with their own EQ and volume sections, and a master volume as well.

When I was buying my last bass amp rig I was very much close to buying one of these. For players who do a lot of middle-of-the-neck and higher register playing, the mwah you'll get out of one of these is pretty perfect. I see a lot of fretless guys using these for that reason.

They'll also put out a lot of lows with the bass level cranked a bit more on the EQ, but the mids-punch is where this amp hits its stride and gets you heard out there on the floor and in a mix.

It comes with its power cable and slip cover.
