1920s Pacheco & Klemm Style 5 Resonator Banjo Ukulele

Mr. Joe Pacheco was granted a number of banjo-building patents, as I recall, "back in the day" when banjo was all the rage in the 1910s and 1920s. His instruments were first built around the Boston area (click here for the type I'm more-used to seeing) but then later he moved to Chicago and, as happens in happenstance, he joined-up with a Mr. Klemm to build some truly fancy banjos.

This one was picked-up by its current owner from Music Emporium and it arrived up here in tow with him for show-and-tell and just a hair of adjustment to the setup. It sounds, plays, and looks a dream, so I'll admit to being somewhat jealous. How could you not be?
