1920s Unmarked (Likely German) 4/4 Violin

While this fiddle is rough around the edges, it has quite the sweet, silky, warm voice. It double-stops beautifully and has a real "old-timey" sound to it -- not husky but sweet and rounded and it really sings prettily on long-note, single-note melody playing. It's got a lightweight build and so it speaks well.

My guy Andy did all of the work on this and went above and beyond the call of duty to make it a spot-on player with easy handling.

Repairs included: a neck reset, fingerboard plane, seam repairs, minor hairline crack re-repairs (top), headstock hairline crack repair (cleat across A string peghole), peg fitting, cleaning, soundpost set, bridge cut/fitting, setup, etc.

Condition notes: it has a several-times-repaired headstock that's doing well, anyhow. There's a bunch of wear and tear via smaller scratches, nicks, and dings throughout the body and some discoloration here and there and usewear at the back of the neck. The bridge is nice and tall.

It comes with: a good lightweight case.
