1960s Harmony H158 Jumbo Electrified Rubber Bridge Guitar

My buddy Brandon traded this guitar to me for something or other and I left it abandoned upstairs for some time. I've been trying to clear-out my backlog of trade-ins as much as I can and I finally pulled this guy out and whipped it up as a rubber-bridge electrified guitar. I've owned these as "normal" guitars before but I thought it would be much more interesting in this capacity... and it is!

It has a nice "acoustic" sound suitable for sticking a mic in front of and it has a killer "electrified" sound for stage and recording use. It also looks flashy in all of its low-brow, giant-body presence. It's definitely beat-up around the edges and has a few old funky repairs to the back seams but it's ship-shape and ready to serve.

Repairs included: a neck reset, fret level/dress, side dots, rubber bridge modifications, reglued back bracing, wiring harness install, pickup install/cut, tailpiece install, setup, etc.

Condition notes: oh, it has a lot of wear and tear throughout and a few shorter repaired cracks on the back near the edges. There are some old seam reglues on the back that are not the best but all is ship-shape and tidy. Clearly, I modded the bridge, added a tailpiece, and fit the wiring harness and pickup as well. There's a section of missing binding on the treble side of the neck that has fill in place, too, and you can see it in the photos -- it's near the 12th fret. Otherwise, it's pretty original -- pickguard, bridge base, tuners, nut. I've added "antiqued" strap buttons for ease-of-use. The fretboard extension over the body dips down from the rest of the board a little bit, but plays as-normal up to about 16/17 and stiffer above that.
