1995 Martin 000-1R Flattop Guitar

While this looks like a satin-finished 000-18, it actually has more to do with an OM-style guitar as it's got a longer, 25 3/8" scale and lighter ("A-frame") bracing. The neck joint is a hybrid bolt/glued tenon rather than a dovetail, too.

Because of the light bracing and longer scale these guitars have good punch but also a nice, warm, mellow sound to them that I find chord-strummers looking at rosewood-backed instruments will enjoy. It sounds a lot deeper/fuller than the body size would suggest.

Folks who like modern necks will like the "low oval" neck shape with the 1 11/16" nut width, too, though fingerpickers looking for a "vintage OM" experience will want a hair more room.
