1971 Harmony H1264 Jet Set Sovereign Jumbo Guitar
I've worked on a lot of Jet Sets and they're very much like their sunburst brethren in the H1265 and H1266 models but the birch back and sides give them a different sound -- they're maybe woodier and more chunky and weird-sounding to my ears. That's a good thing, mind you! They've got a little more of a loose rumble or something that makes them great chord-strummers for folks with heavy-handed approaches.
Also -- they look excellent! The black finish with the natural rosette is eye-catching and I think the replacement pickguards -- with their browny-retro color -- give a neat look. I've "aged" them a bit so they fit-in with the overall look a little better, too.
Post-repairs this plays spot-on, has plenty of saddle-height adjustment room left, and is ready to roll. Folks looking for a chord-strummer in the cowboy or rock-and-roll fashion will enjoy this guitar but
Repairs included: a neck reset, replacement back bracing, crack cleats/repairs to the back, fret level/dress, tuner lube/adjustments, replacement pickguards, saddle compensation/adjustments, cleaning, setup work.

Condition notes: it has a lot of minor scuffing/scratching throughout the body but it doesn't detract much. You see it when light hits it. There's one long back crack that runs the whole length of the back that's repaired/cleated but otherwise it's crack-free throughout. The pickguards and bridge pins are replacements but it's otherwise original throughout. Post-neck-reset the fretboard extension drops a little bit over the body. All the back braces are replaced with thin, flatter, "strapping" braces as the originals were damaged and completely floating-around inside when this arrived.
It comes with: an old chip case.
