1990 Fender Japan Stratocaster Electric Guitar (w/Fralin Split Blades)
Video soon!
This is a local player's cool old 1990 Japanese Strat. It's in the ubiquitous (but who hates it?) Candy Apple Red metallic finish, sports a nice maple-fronted neck, vintage profiling to said neck, and a bucket of charm. Its owner has a full set of Fralin Split-Rail humbucking Strat pickups and, of course, they sound really nice. Do I ever dislike Fralin pickups? I don't think I've met one I'm not into, yet...
Anyhow, Ancel did a refret to stainless on this for its owner in hopes it will wear well and feel better for him. The frets are medium-wider and medium height and so I'm hoping they're substantial enough to do the job. They certainly "ring" better than normal fretwire every time I've used them.
