2008 Adams Squareneck Flattop Hawaiian Guitar

I've never heard a squareneck acoustic (flattop-style) Hawaiian guitar that sounds quite like this guy before. The closest I've heard that are similar are the Kay-made Oahu squarenecks (Nick Lucas-style bodies, x-braced) from the '30s. This has a lovely, punchy, mids-forward sound that recalls spider-cone resonator flavors a bit. I like the tone quite a bit because if focuses the sound of this instrument so it cuts through other guitars in a crowd a lot better than most wood-topped, Hawaiian-style guitars.

This is used and has some signs of wear but it's been handled fairly-gently. It has a nice preamp and undersaddle pickup system installed, too, which is largely faithful to the acoustic sound and quite high-output so it's ready for stage use.

Repairs included: bridge reglue, saddle adjustments, wiring adjustments, cleaning, setup.

Condition notes: aside from minor usewear (think: "shopwear" with a few minor tiny dings and scratches mostly on the back) it's not too bad. There are a couple of repaired tiny hairline cracks at the treble-side bridge wing in the top. There are also a few spots where there's some fill under the finish from chip-out when it was made (or touched-up at some point).

It comes with: a hard case.
