1957 Gibson J-50 Slope Dreadnought Guitar

I first saw this glorious old Gibson when our pal Mike Brown stopped-by with it a year or two ago (or more?) to get it lefty-fied and the frets leveled and dressed while he was hanging-out with us. I did that. This time around I also reglued the bridge and fit a properly-compensated, properly-radiused, proper-height bone saddle for him as well. Ohhhh and a few hairline cracks in the top got some cleats as well.

The short of it is that it's a really good example of a "played-in but not abused" J-50 from the '50s. It has the neat old bridge shape with the curvy front edge and it has all the luscious playwear around the soundhole you could ever want. Yummmm...

I even like the "shark bite" out of the headstock's top.
