1960s Yamaha "Red Label" FG-110 000-Size Guitar

I really do think that the old FG-110 and FG-150 models are some of my very favorite flattops ever made. I know that's saying a lot, but the reality is that they're a practical size, sound nice, and if you put the work into making them play well, they deliver and deliver and deliver and won't complain about doing so for decades. Having something that's durable, reliable, functional, and sounds good is hard to come by.

We had both an FG-110 (this guy) and an FG-150 (not pictured) here last week in for "quickish turnaround" neck resets, fret level/dress jobs, and new saddle stuff -- the usual work needed on these -- and both turned-out great, as expected.
