1974 Guild D-40 Dreadnought Guitar

This is a local customer's brutalized old Guild D-40 -- which is basically the company's take on a Martin D-18. It's punchy, warm-sounding, loud, and plays spot-on after a neck reset, bridge and saddle work, a fret level/dress, and setup-side work. I love how the entire treble side of the soundhole has been simply worn away from pickwear. I mean, this has to have been really loved to have wound-up in such a state.

Per the usual, it's got a solid spruce top with x-bracing and solid mahogany back and sides. Everything appears original to the instrument save the bridge pins, saddle, and nut.
