1979 Yamaha SL500 Studio Lord LP-Style Electric Guitar
This is a killer old Les Paul-style guitar. If you're looking for the Paul sound and feel from the '70s -- this is it. It even has the maple neck style of them. Some work has been done to make it a spot-on player -- a refret and some weight relief routed in the back -- and it's definitely the bee's knees of the LP-style guitars in the shop at the moment.
Did I mention the glorious cherry finish?
Repairs included: a quick setup. Previously, Micah Plante over in Bristol, VT did some superb work to it -- he refretted it with good, modern, decent-height wire and also routed-out a whole section of back wood (for weight relief) and beautifully-fit a plastic cover to hide it which matches the wiring cover for the control cavity on the other side.
