1985 Guild D-55 Dreadnought Guitar

If you're into Guild dreadnoughts and like bling, the D-55 is the need that you want. It's got the ebony board and bridge, it's got the multi-ply binding all over, it's got the rosewood back and sides, it's got the killer two-color, big-block pearl inlays in the fretboard, it's got the countrified pickguard and fancy headstock veneer, and it's got the sound and the punch, too.

This one is in excellent shape and has a good, round, velvety sound to it. The neck is very typical for a Guild of the period, too -- quick and fast and with a flatter fretboard. It's definitely a good guitar for a heavy-handed strummer or aggressive flatpicker.

Repairs included: a fret level/dress, restring, and setup.

Condition notes: it's quite clean and appears all-original throughout save perhaps the saddle. The neck angle is good and said saddle has good height, too. There's a little weather-check to the finish throughout and light handling wear here and there throughout, but overall it looks more like a 5-10 year-old guitar than one from the '80s!

It comes with: a good "flight style" case.
