2000s Daniel Larson 8-Course Renaissance Lute

How about them apples?

I was obsessed with lutes in high school. I probably still am in some ways -- I do love listening to lutenists. The first time I played an actual one, however, I found the string tension so low and the handling so strange that I'm glad that I never indulged as it seems the sort of instrument you would have to dramatically alter your mind to understand.

Still, this is a gorgeously-made instrument, light as a feather, and it's holding-up well as it settles-in. It was here for a minor seam repair but it was otherwise playing spot-on and in good order.
