2010s Applause AE-44 Mid-Depth Bowl Acoustic/Electric Guitar
The funny thing about this guitar is that it could have been made in the mid '80s. Ovation's designs haven't changed much in a long time and, while this is a more recent build and under the budget-branded Applause line, its feel and sound will be familiar to anyone who's played import Ovations or Applause instruments for the last 30 or 40 years. It's quick and easy in the hand, has a good, even sound, and good volume, too.
It's not a fancy guitar but it's certainly practical, tough, and ready to hang out on the couch or jacked-in at a gig. Ancel gave it a quick setup and restring and it's playing bang-on.
