2017 Farida OT-22 00-Size (LG-2 Copycat) Guitar
I meant to grab a video clip of this guitar because it really does sound an awful lot like a good LG-2/LG-3 model, which it's patterned after. It's actually warmer/fatter-sounding than the pair of '40s and '50s ones that were in the shop at the same time this was here. For the dollars you plunk down to get one of these, I was duly impressed.
That said, just like any overseas-made guitar, even just a little age on the instrument (it's now 7 years old) shows the issues that mass production can have. This needed a bridge reglue, the neck angle could be better (note the low saddle -- this would be a candidate for a neck reset if I were selling it), and its fretting was quirky enough to need a level/dress job as well.
The thing is -- if you're buying an old LG-2/LG-3, these are also issues you might have to deal with before getting your guitar humming nicely.
